Opposition coalition have said that while a genocide is taking in place in Myanmar against Rohingya muslims, in Maldives political opposition is being eliminated.
Speaking to the press today in a press conference held at M.Kunooz today, former MP of Maduvvari constituency Mohammed Ameeth said that the government is jailing all opposition leaders and if they do not want to get jailed they have to live abroad in exile. He said that hence he believes that this is a crime committed by the government to eliminate all opposition leaders.
Ameeth said that the reform works will not be stopped even if the government acts this way. He said that while the democracy day is going to be celebrated tomorrow number of politicians behind bars have increased. In addition he said that number of people who are being charged have also increased and said that these are issues of great concern.
