Russia warns the US not to attack Syrian government forces
Russia has warned the US not to attack the forces of Syrian President Bashar Al Assad.
Russia warned the United States Saturday against carrying out any attacks on Syrian government forces, saying it would have repercussions across the Middle East as government forces captured a hill on the edge of the northern city of Aleppo under the cover of airstrikes.
Russian news agencies quoted Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying that a US intervention against the Syrian army “will lead to terrible, tectonic consequences not only on the territory of this country but also in the region on the whole.”
A statement by the Russian foreign ministry said that if there is a regime change in Syria, Syria will be filled with terrorists and that they will not allow that to happen. It further said that, USA should accept that Syrian Army is winning in Aleppo because of the airstrikes by Russians.
A lot of people including women and children died on Saturday due to Russian bombing to take back a strategic location in Aleppo. Meanwhile armed groups have said that they have made considerable gains against the Syrian government.
Analysts say that the ongoing Syrian conflict has nothing to do with Muslims now and more like a proxy war between USA and Syria.
