The Four Seasons Apprenticeship Program has begun with 68 students.
Sixty-four of the students are new recruits to the program, while four are taking part in the program for the second time.
The graduation ceremony of last year’s students was held this morning in National Art Gallery, with 58 students. Out of the graduates, 52 students had completed one year of study, while six graduated with two years of study.
The Four Seasons Apprenticeship Program train students in safe maritime transport, housekeeping, water sports, PADI dive master, marine biology, surfing, food and beverage preparations, food and beverage services, front office and engineering.
Mohamed Raif and Ibrahim Haleem were the top scorers from Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, while Aiham Mohamed and Ahmed Nafiu were top scorers from Four Seasons Kuda Hura.
Graduate Mohamed Wasif commended on the attention and instruction given to the graduates by the Four Seasons management. He said when the students arrived in April last year, they were extremely new. However, he said the students had been made feel welcomed and gained on hand experience in a short period of time.
He added that graduates were taught valuable lessons on treating all with respect, adding that incorporating this into work was a valuable experience. He noted the experience was a lifetime one, having learnt valuable life and corporate skills from the project.
He also said the program was one of the best programs run in the country, thanking the Four Seasons management on behalf of all graduates.
Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim was the chief guest of the ceremony.
