Poll Shows Strong Majority Backing President Muizzu’s Leadership

A recent survey by the Baani Center for International Policy shows that 62 percent of the public approve of the performance of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

The poll was conducted via telephone interviews between 1 and 23 November, sampling 391 respondents. It followed international polling standards, with balanced representation across gender and age groups in line with national voting demographics.

The results point to clear demographic trends. Support among women stood at 64 percent, compared to 60 percent among men. Approval was strongest among respondents aged 35 and above, where backing exceeded 66 percent. Regionally, rural communities recorded higher approval at 64 percent, while urban areas registered 58 percent. Overall, the findings place President Muizzu 24 points ahead in approval ratings.

Baani, which has been carrying out public opinion surveys since April, highlighted the robustness of its methodology. Respondents were randomly selected from the databases of two telecommunications providers, with the survey maintaining a 5 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level.

The survey reflects President Muizzu’s firm support base, particularly among older and rural populations, while also indicating modest variations across regions and gender groups.
