Male Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has announced that the company will give financial relief for woes of the customers during the water crisis.
Managing Director Ahmed Umar appealed the people living in the ground floors to give out water from the taps to those living in the upper floors if the latter do not get water during the hour when the company resumes supply from the desalination plant.
Ahmed Umar assured that the customers will be given financial relief for the water taken during this and they will not be charged for it.
He said that the tanker vessel, INS Deepak, sent from India is scheduled to reach Maldives by today with 800 tonnes of water and the company will fill the tanks with those water with the assistance of MNDF.
Ahmed Umar said that today water will be resumed from the two reverse osmosis plants of the company and when the third plant is repaired the water produced will be more bringing a development to the crisis.
