Inidian Assistance continues to solve Water Shortage in Maldives
Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India ShriNarendraModi and Hon’bleExternal Affairs Minister Ms. SushmaSwaraj, Indian assistance continued to the Maldives on the second day of the Male Water Crisis.

The first aircraft (IL 76) arrived on December 5 at 1315hrs carrying 22 tonnes of water to meet the immediate requirement. This was received by H.E. Col (Retd.) Mohamed Nazim, Minister of Defence &National; Security of Maldives. The second aircraft, an IAF C-17, arrived at 1540hrs with 28 tonnes of water and delivered it to the Maldives National Defence Forces. Subsequentlythree aircrafts – two IL 76 and one C 17 – arrived on December 5 night carrying 115 tonnes of water. The details are as follows:
