President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today ratified the First Amendment Bill to the “Prevention and Prohibition of Corruption Act ” [Law no: 2/2000], and the First Amendment Bill to the “Act on Mandatory Government Service for those who study at Public Schools, Government-aided schools and funded by Government” [Law no: 29/76].
The Amendment was passed by the Parliament at the 24th sitting of its seventeenth session, on 24 November 2014. Following ratification, the bill has been published in the Government Gazette.
Also President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today ratified the Third Amendment Bill to the ‘Goods and Services Tax Act’ (Act no: 10/2011).
The Amendment was passed by the Parliament at the 16th sitting of its third session, on 19 November 2014. Following ratification, the bill has been published in the Government Gazette.
