Chinese team assures solutions to the problems faced in building Male' - Hulhule' - Hulhumale' bridge
The Chinese team who traveled to the Maldives to research the project of developing a bridge between Male', Hulhule' and Hulhumale' has assured solutions to the problems faced in building the bridge.

At the signing of the MOU between China and Maldives to commence a preliminary feasibility study which was held at the Housing Ministry, in response to a question by Miadhu News, Senior Consultant Engineer, Mr. Ying stated that currently- there are two challenges in building the bridge.

Mr. Ying noted that one of the deterrent factors is that the depth of the areas where the pillars must be constructed are between 40 metres and 60 metres, while the other discerning factor is that waves are enormous in the zone.

Mr. Ying stated that while the first phase of work had already been completed for the project, they can only commence with the second phase by giving priority to finding the appropriate solutions to those problems.

In response to being asked if solutions could be found for these problems, Mr. Ying replied stating, “Yes, Of course we can solve the problem.”
