Commissioner of Police, Hussein Waheed has said that if every police document for various investigations are to be perfect and without error like an essay written to win a price in an essay writing competition then there is no solution.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, CP Hussein Waheed said that he does believe that the documents should be clear and written in accordance to the guidelines then it is a problem.
However he said that if it is written clearly or in accordance to the set guidelines then it is incorrect to say it is invalid.
Hussein Waheed noted that the investigative reports are written through hard work. “It is not easy to find evidences regarding a case. Now there is the right to remain silent when asked a question by police,” he said.
The Commissioner said that the problems that rise regarding testimonies and evidences is not because there are no evidences or testimonies. However “compassion enters when the prosecution elongates and is postponed,” he said.
