Kinbidhoo constituency MP, Abdulla Riyaz has urged all members to expedite the works within the Peoples’ Majlis to curb crime in the society.
Speaking at the Peoples’ Majlis yesterday, Abdulla Riyaz said that there still laws to be made to control the crime rate in the society.
“Let us give that a special focus. There are many narcotics left undestroyed because of the lack of laws under the Drug Act,” he said.
Abdulla Riyaz said that the Prosecutor General has called to destroy all the narcotics in police possession by making all the necessary laws for it.
“We should do it to gain the trust of the public for the police. I appeal all to cooperate in this. This should be expedited,” he said.
