Deputy leader of the Jumhooree Party’s Parliamentary Group, Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz has said that the party has always worked to strengthen and preserve independent institutions.
MP Abdulla Riyaz made this remark noting the low budget allocated for independent institutions in the state budget for 2015. He said that check and balance system can be only followed by allocating sufficient budget for independent institutions.
Abdulla Riyaz said that a sufficient budget should be allocated for the independent institutions and it is the responsibility of the government to establish ways for the institutions to not begging for budget.
Budget problem has been worrying even regarding the institutions of the state, the Anti-Corruption Commission, Auditor General’s Office and others.
