Thoddoo constituency MP, Ibrahim Hassan has said that the Islamic Sharia laws should be implemented and the children should be given the Islamic upbringing to curb the crime rate of Maldives.
MP Ibrahim Hassan made this remark during the debate held at Wednesday's parliament sitting regarding the proposed amendments to the law which prohibits threatening and the use of sharp objects.
He said that the increase in crimes in Muslim societies is because of the Muslims abandoned the Allah given Islamic Sharia and have introduced their own man made systems.
Ibrahim Hassans aid that the state of Maldives has reached such a state that the people are terrified to go out on the streets with family.
He said that the key to all crimes is drug abuse. He said that it is a secret that everyone knows. MP Ibrahim Hussein said that Islam also clearly has revealed that intoxicating substances are the mother of all evil.
Ibrahim Hussein said that there should be no fear of the blame of the blamers from the international community for implementing the Islamic Sharia.
