Keyodhoo MP Moosa Nizar has said that the self of the people are sanctified by Allah and every precaution should be taken in defense of the self and its protection.
Sheikh Moosa Nizar made this remark during the debate held at Wednesday's parliament sitting regarding the proposed amendments to the law which prohibits threatening and the use of sharp objects.
He said that the proposed amendments are much required by the law, while adding that the purpose of all regimes is to provide protection and safety to the residents.
In addition to this, Sheikh Moosa Nizar said that actions, which should not be seen in an Islamic society would not be tolerated at all, while noting that bringing amendments to the law would not be enough.
He added that the only possible solution to the issue would be to think deeply about the reasons behind such actions, and then bringing a solution to those reasons.
