President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the government is working on to make laws to generate 94000 jobs within the five year presidency term.
President made this remark speaking at the special ceremony held at Dharubaaruge on the occasion of this year’s National Youth Day.
The President said that he has high hopes that government will achieve these targets with the blessing of Allah.
He said that the youth should have the enthusiasm to remain in the jobs when the government opens these opportunities. He said that the government also focuses on creating jobs for youth with special needs.
President Yameen said that the current government will work for the development and progress of the youth of Maldives. He said that they are the future of the nation today and tomorrow.
President underscored the importance of leadership among the youth. He said that the youth should have initiative in participating in different events and activities. He said that if this is present then there will be positive change.
In addition to this, the President praised the hard work of the captain of the Maldives National Football Team. He thanked Ali Ashfaq for the good name he has been giving to the Maldives.
