The Acting Minister of Law and Gender, State Attorney General, Mohamed Anil has said that the pension and allowances for workers should be revised and rectified.
Mohamed Anil made this remark at the press conference held at Velaanaage to brief the media on the achievements of the ministry in the first year of the government.
Answering a question asked by Miadhu Daily, the Acting Minister of Law and Gender said that the wages should be revised and the government understands this. However he said that the wages can only be revised when the economy is rectified.
Anil said that the government is making many efforts to rectify the economy of the state and the economy has been becoming better.
Many workers have been raising their worries regarding the policy of the government. They state that the pension given by the state after deducting money from their wages for long is too lesser than the allowances given to those who do not work.
