Kaashidhoo MP Faisal Naseem has stated that a big budget is required to provide the required services to the people.
MP Faisal Naseem made this remark speaking at Wednesday's sitting of the Peoples’ Majlis.
He said that the services in the health sector and development sector could only be provided equally with a bigger budget.
MP Faisal Naseem also highlighted on the importance of passing the budget for 2015, in a way which benefits the aid provided to disabled people on a wide scale.
He further added that it is rather important to include works, which would increase the state revenue as well as the profit received by the residents.
The Kaashidhoo MP as expressed his worries, since subsidies are provided without any specific regulations while there is a huge amount set for subsidies in the budget.
He noted that the fact that the rich and poor receive the same subsidies should be revised.
“Now we are hearing of a green tax. It is USD 20 $. However, I accept the fact that the government has decreased it after the discussions. I am happy with it,” he said.
