Progressive Coalition candidate for Kinbidhoo constituency in the upcoming Peoples’ Majlis election, Abdulla Riyaz has stated that he will serve the people twenty four seven if he is elected for the seat.
Former Police Commissioner said that he will stand up for the truth and always advocate for the rights of the people if he is elected. He said that no candidate who cannot do that should ever be elected for the Majlis.
Speaking at the Jumhooree Party main campaign center, Abdulla Riyaz underscored the importance of establishing a sewage system and clean drinking water facility in Kinbidhoo constituency. He promised to establish them within the five year term of the Majlis if elected.
He said that these matters can never be fulfilled if the seat is given to the opposition. He said that these developments can be only brought by electing the Progressive Coalition candidate who will work in cooperation with the government.
Abdulla Riyaz added that he does not think of Majlis members as just mere legislators. He said that they are also responsible to assure a better tomorrow for the people by way of the government.
In addition to this, Abdulla Riyaz noted that two important laws still remains not passed while members claim to advocate against the increase in criminal activity in Maldives. He said that the members of the Majlis now are not prioritizing the most important bills for the nation.
