State Trading Organization (STO) has signed an agreement to supply the construction materials for the Maafushi prison wall project.
Managing Director of STO signed the agreement on behalf of STO at a special ceremony held at the head office of STO yesterday morning while the Commissioner of Prisons, Mohamed Husham signed the agreement on behalf of Maldives Correctional Service.
Mohamed Husham said that the project costs about MVR 7 million and from that MVR 4.2 will be for the construction materials needed for the project.
STO Managing Director Adam Azim ensured that the materials will be provided as per the agreement. He said that STO will give full support to this very important project.
The 1.4 km wall project is estimated to be finished within next year.
