Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said that the vision of the ministry for the coming year is to increase more Quran memorization programs and to increase more branches for it throughout the country.
He made this remark speaking at the press conference held yesterday to brief the public on the achievements of the ministry so far.
Dr. Shaheem said that at least five branches will be opened next year in the atolls and 2 atolls will be connected to the main center in Male’ through video conference system.
In addition to this he said that 20 mosque projects will also be established and 7 mosque projects under hiatus will be resumed within January.
Dr. Shaheem said that next year Hajj permit will only be given to groups who keep a deposit.
Furthermore, more Islamic moral charecteristics awareness programs will be held throughout the islands.
