President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has asked all people to remain patiently with the government.
He made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to officially inaugurate the sewerage project of Hoarafushi Island, North Thiladhummathi Atoll. The ceremony was held on Tuesday afternoon.
The project is undertaken by the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, with Male’ Water and Sewerage Company as the contractor.
The President said that the services of the government to the people is not restricted to any particular island but should be granted to all islands.
He said that the aim of his government is to bring a development that the country has never seen before. He said that the government aims to bring prosperity, progress and development to the nation and the people.
Addressing the people of Hoarafushi, President Yameen said that the government has planned many projects fort he development of the island. In this regard, he briefed the people regarding the special project for Ihavandhippolhu.
In addition to this, the President spoke about the efforts of the government to bring rectification to the health sector of Maldives.
He said that “telemedicine” and “sea ambulances” have been launched throughout Maldives as part of this process.
