Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef have traveled to Monaco to participate in the Interpol’s 83rd General Assembly.
The assembly will be held from the 3rd to the 7th of November.
The assembly will see the discussion on collaborations between the countries on the 100th anniversary of International Police Crime Cooperation and the activities to be carried out in the countries under the “Turn Back Crime’.
Discussion on the collaborative efforts between countries, security forces and other institutions on preventing and solving crimes, strategies required in better implementation of laws and the use of technology in preventing and solving crimes will take place at the assembly.
The assembly will be attended by home ministers, senior members of police forces and intelligence departments of the member countries of Interpol.
Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed and Head of Department of Intelligence, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef will be attending on behalf of the Maldives.
