The Indian External Affairs Minister, Shrimati Shushma Swaraj made a stopover in the Addu City of Maldives yesterday.
The Indian Minister was received on arrival by Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Mohamed, Member of Parliament of the Feydhoo Constituency Ibrahim Didi and the Indian High Commissioner in Maldives Rajeev Sahare and officials of the Indian High Commission.
Shrimati Shushma Swaraj arrived at 1420 hrs and left the Maldives at 1555 hrs on her way to Mauritius.
During her transit stop at Addu City, the Indian External Minister Shushma met with the crew of the advanced light helicopter donated by India to Maldives to help respond to emergency patients swiftly.
The helicopter was used recently in the DOSTI trainings.
