Dhiraagu introduces 4G LTE Network services
The largest telecommunications company in the Maldives, Dhiraagu has introduced 4G Network services in the country during an event held on Monday.
The company revealed that the service would only be available in the Male' region as of yet, while adding that no additional cost would be required to use the service.
The "U Sim" cards, which would provide the 4G LTE Network services would be available for purchase from the Dhiraagu front office starting Tuesday. The company also revealed that customers of prepaid and postpaid services would also be able to experience the brand new service.
The telecommunications company added that customers who hold regular sim cards would be able to change them to a U Sim free of cost until this November. They also revealed that packages exclusively designed for the 4G LTE Network are to be introduced in the near future.
According to Dhiraagu, they need not to conduct further tests of the network services since their 4G LTE and 4G LTE-A networks had been tested prior to the introduction of the service. They said that the service is being provided in it's fullest to their customers.
Dhiraagu said that their 4G LTE network would provide speeds ten times faster than the speed provided by their 3G network, while adding that the company is the only company providing such a broad and complete 4G network.
