Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed has said that police cannot be used as a cover for politicians.
Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed made this remark in an interview given to Miadhu Daily regarding the accusations of the alleged connection between major crimes and Maldives Police Service.
The Commissioner said that committing crimes is not included in the principles accepted by the Police.
He said that none of these allegations have been proven but many of them have been disproven. He said that he is certain that Police will not work except within the boundaries of the constitution.
Commissioner Hussein Waheed said that some of the people they want to create confusion and instability in the society.
CP said that politicians are trying defame the police to cause corruption and to seek their sinister political agendas.
He said that a big drug trafficking network was arrested within 48 hours.
