Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim has said that giving health service does not mean in only keeping a doctor and giving out prescriptions but it also includes providing the facilities to the necessary tests and pharmacy service.
Adam Azim made this remark at the ceremony held to open the STO pharmacy in Kaafu Dhiffushi. He said that the policy of the current government is to provide health services in the full “cycle”.
He said that the government has appointed STO to find the necessary equipment needed in the health sector.
“We give assurance that all of that will be provided to the necessary places within 3 to 6 months,” he said.
He said that the President Abdulla Yameen wants all of the people of Maldives without any exception to get the Aasandha health service. He said that the STO is working to implement this policy of the President.
Adam Azim said that the people now wont have to travel to other islands to get medicine. He said that if there is any medicine that is unavailable or out of stock then the pharmacy will bring them as soon as possible.
Adam Azim during the ceremony met with the staffs of the pharmacy. He said that STO will provide any service that the people needs.
