Dogs will be trained in Hulhumale’- Home Minister

Home Minister Umar Naseer has said that the Police Dogs brought to Maldives as an effort to curb down drug trade will be trained in Hulhumale’.

Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Minister Umar said that earlier it was planned for the dogs brought from Netherlands to be trained in neighbouring Sri Lanka.

However, the plan was changed and now the dogs will be trained with the guidance of the experts from Netherland.

He said that even if the dogs are trained in Sri Lanka, they will have to be trained again because of the change in environment.

Minister Umar said that the funds to bring 15 dogs will be settled by the Finance Minister. He said that the dogs will be brought to Maldives soon.
