The only tourist resort operating in Kolhumaduli, Malifushi resort will cooperate with the people of the constituency, says Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Abdulla Riyaz said that the he met with the management of the resort and held discussions regarding the assistance that can be provided for the betterment of the constituency.
Abdulla Riyaz said that these discussions include providing jobs and trade opportunities to the people.
“Kandudhoo is a farming island. Therefore if there is an opportunity to sell their products then this will benefit them a lot. Hirilandhoo has music bands. Many know fibre works. And it is a fishing island,” he said.
Abdulla Riyaz said that these are all services that the resort will need and if the resort accepts these services then this will financially help the people and develop the constituency.
Abdulla Riyaz visited five islands of the constituency and met the people. He discussed on what can be done to further develop the constituency.
During the visit, Abdulla Riyaz donated an oxygen machine to Thimarafushi health center. According to reports the two oxygen machines currently at the health centre are both unusable now.
