Discussion seminar to be held to amend charter of FAM

Football association of Maldives (FAM) has announced to hold a discussion seminar to amend charter of the association as per the request of FIFA.

FAM stated that they want the suggestions and ideas of the public to amend the charter as football is the most popular sport in Maldives.

“FAM works by holding mutual discussions. We will hold discussion opportunities between the association and the football community,” President of FAM Ilham Ahmed stated.

The association is now preparing to hold the seminar. The time, date and venue of the seminar will be announced sooner according to FAM.

Football Association of Maldives (FAM) was founded in 1982 as the governing body of football in the Republic of Maldives. The football association u is responsible for all regulatory aspects of the Game of Football in the Maldives. It was in 1986 FAM became a member of AFC and FIFA respectively. Ilham Ahmed was elected as the new President of the FAM on Saturday January 26, 2013.
