Spokesperson of the Jumhooree Party, Ali Solih has stated that the problems faced by the Adduans can only be resolved when politicians stop taking advantage of the youth to achieve their political agendas and start fulfilling their political vows.
As a Adduan himself, Ali Solih told Miadhu Daily that since long Addu has been always in political unrest. He said that when one party does something the other party obstructs them.
Ali Solih said that the main problem and reason is that Addu being the second most populated place in Maldives the way to progress are blocked. He said that the youth have no opportunities in Addu.
“Many of the youth are jobless. They are unable to complete their higher studies. Many are drug addicts. All opportunities have been closed. They are in total disappointment,” he said.
Ali Solih said that some politicians take advantage of the state of these youth to achieve their political agendas. He said that this is very saddening and should stop.
Ali Solih said that there are structures in Addu but they lack opportunity. He said that foundations are laid but these projects are not developed and the people are not given jobs.
The spokesperson of Jumhooree Party said that the solution is to expedite the process of fulfilling the political vows to resolve these problems faced by the people of Addu City.
