Individual taken in for theft of a gas cylinder

A 25 year old local male has been taken into Police custody regarding a case of theft of a gas cylinder.

The individual was brought in by Officers out on patrol in Male’ City at about 1240 hours on the 10th of this month near the market area.

The stolen gas cylinder was found in his possession.

The individual is one who had been searched 68 times, taken into custody 33 times, arrested 10 times and 3 cases involving him had been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

He is also an individual with Police Records for illicit narcotics, assault and theft.

The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the case further.
