Spokesperson of the Presidential Office, Ibrahim Muaz Ali has said that no concerns of the teachers have been raised to the President following the meeting of the President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom with the Teachers Association.
In an interview to Miadhu Daily, Muaz said that the Teachers Association met the President last month to raise the concerns of the teachers. Muaz said that the President requested to submit a guideline following the discussion held with the President and the discussion of the association with the Ministry of Education.
However, he said that up until now no such guideline has been submitted to the Presidential Office.
“The teachers have raised their concern to the President. The President asked them to submit a guideline within a given period. Following that meeting no additional concerns have been raised to the Presidential Office. Therefore the Presidential Office will only make any further comments when the guideline is submitted,” he said.
