Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has stated that the ministry has banned foreigners to work as cashiers in shops and tea shops.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Mohamed Saeed said that the ministry requests the public to inform regarding any tea shop or any shop where foreigners work as cashiers.
Mohamed Saeed said that the Ministry has announced that under the regulations and laws of the constitution, they will be taking the appropriate actions against businesses operating without registration.
The business registration law was put in motion on 13th September. According to the law, private businesses, partnership companies or corporate societies should register themselves before the 13th of February 2015.
