A person was apprehended for possession while trying to smuggle drugs to Gaafu Dhaalu Fiyoari and some others arrested while preparing liquor.
The person arrested for possession is a 30 year old male and was arrested based on the information received to the Police Intelligence.
The man was arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Police Intelligence and Police officers stationed in Fiyoari.
Meanwhile, three were arrested while preparing liquor at the jungle area near the Hithadhoo Cultural Center.
The three arrested were a youth of 22 years, along with two others of ages 20 and 18.
The 22 year old, and the 20 year old holds records for vandalism and other drug related cases.
Upon being checked, equipment used to prepare liquor was found in possession of the men. The case is currently being investigated by the Hithadhoo island police station.
