Managing Director of the State Trading Organization (STO), Adam Azim has said that the government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom can bring good changes to the economy of the nation.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, MD Adam Azim said that the biggest economic problem during the inception of the current government was the shortage of US dollars however it has been resolved within a short period of time.
“The problem of dollar queues has been solved. All banks are selling dollars. MVR 2.50 has been deducted from the price,” he said.
Adam Azim said that this is a good signal that the government is capable of bringing good changes to the economy and resolve all the other economical issues.
In addition to this, the MD of STO said that the company will increase the number of good imported with the increase in the ease of access to US dollars.
