Jumhooree Party’s spokesperson, Ali Solih has said that experiencing the state of the people makes the real situation much clearer and “closer to the people” campaign has been so far very successful in achieving this.

Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Ali Solih said that the people now joining the party through this campaign are honest and sincere members. He expressed certainty that these members will be permanent members of the party who will strive to work for the betterment of the nation via the party.

Ali Solih said that those involved in this campaign an elite group who are specially chosen. “We request everyone to be cautious. We ask you to assure that the person who comes to you claiming to be a member of the party to be from the Jumhooree Party,” he said.

Recently Secretary General of the Jumhooree Party, Ahmed Sameer also said that the “Closer to the People” activity has so far been very successful.

He said that the party is now trying to survey the state of the Jumhooree Party throughout Maldives. He said that a special research on the development of the party since 2008 is currently being conducted.

“Our leader Gasim Ibrahim is a person who moves forward having a close relationship with the people. There to make this perfectly smooth we are conducting a study on the state of the party among the people,” he said.

He said that the members have been increasing for the party steadily however forms will be submitted to the Elections Commission after the commission finds a solution to form issues raised by the Jumhooree Party.
