Vice President Abdulla Jihad has appealed to the nation to provide support in the administration’s various development projects while addressing the function held to inaugurate the ‘Southern Transport Link’ bus transportation service in Addu City and Fuvahmmulah.
Speaking at the function held in Addu City this evening, the Vice President stated that the land transportation project inaugurated in Addu City and Fuvahmmulah would bring increased mobility, convenient transportation and aid in the efficient transport of cargo.
The Vice President also said that, due to the commencement of the bus service, it would allow the public for savings of up to 90 % on transportation costs.
Minister of Economic Development Mr. Mohamed Saeed, Parliament Member of Feydhoo constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Didi and Chief Executive Officer of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Mr. Mohamed Junaid also addressed the attendees.
Senior officials of MPL also attended the function.
