All Maldivian Hajj pilgrims in Mina

All Maldivian Hajj pilgrims have reached Mina yesterday.

Sheikh Izzudeen Adnan from Hajj Mission said that only one person was not able to goto Mina yesterday. He said the person is a heart patient who went to Hajj via the Hajj Corporation.

Izzudeen said that the Saudi government will arrange ambulances to bring the sick to Mina to perform Hajj rites.

Silsilfar Hajj group leader Mohamed Fulhu said that all pilgrims of the group are doing well and they reached Mina yesterday morning.

About 1000 people from Maldives went to Hajj this year. Half of the people went to Hajj via the Hajj Corporation.

Over two million pilgrims, coming from all corners of the globe, will begin their trek to the tent city of Mina on Thursday on the first leg of the five-day pilgrimage.

The Haj will reach its zenith on Friday, October 3, when nearly 3 million pilgrims will stand on the plains of Arafat.

The pilgrimage will end after Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The pilgrimage is one of the five pillars of Islam that should be performed at least once in a lifetime by every Muslim who is financially and physically capable.
