PPM President Maumoon Abdul Qayyoom has revealed that the Party’s national congress will be held in November 2017 to determine if a primary can be held to determine the Party’s presidential candidate for 2018 elections.
Maumoon made the announcement today and had publicized a time line of the Party’s reform agenda.
Based on the timeline, if the Party passes to hold a primary from the November congress, then the primary will be held in February 2018.
If approved, campaign for the primaries will kick off in January 2018.
