Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed has said that it is saddening that some people rejoice when unrests are caused in the society.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, the Commissioner said that Maldivian being a country mostly relying upon the Tourism Industry, no one who loves the Maldivian nation will cause unrest and strife in the society and instigate the people to go out on the streets.
Hussein Waheed said that because of how the youth were left ignored has made them to roam around the streets and hangout on street corners. However, he said that none should take advantage of them and instigate them to cause unrest.
The commissioner said that instead of guiding them some people make the youth to do all sorts of corruption in the society to show to the world that there is no peace and stability in Maldives.
He also said that some people cause friction between different groups to cause strife and unrest in the society.
The commissioner called the youth to be aware of these tactics used by some people to achieve their political motives.
