President’s Office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali has stated that the President’s focus on national development had not wavered in spite of the issues posed by rival political figures.
Speaking to Miadhu, Muaz said the Government will work towards fulfilling all necessary requirements of individuals. But, he said that the President had an overall target of fulfilling national development goals. He said that this was the main driver behind calling for all-party talks.
He said the recently concluded Kunming Fair was one of the key achievements for the nation.
“That was the largest fair we participated in. Many businesses were able to participate in it and they were exposed to a large advertising platform. The fair offered a huge glimpse to nation’s culture and productivity. The fair was the most successful one Maldives took part in,”
He added that the president will remain steadfast in his aim to bring in progress to the nation.
Muaz had refused to comment on the Maldives United Opposition when questioned about it.
