Home Minister Umar Naseer has stated that the President of the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), former President Mohamed Nasheed will not be given the opportunity to create unrest in the country.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Umar Naseer said that the MDP is planning to create strife in the society but their plots will be foiled. He said that Nasheed is planning all this out to achieve his sinister political agendas.
Umar noted that crude oil was splashed on the walls of Nasheed’s residence to create friction between the people. He said that Nasheed is behind this and it is likely that they will be doing the same with many other residences.
The Minister said that the former President cannot digest Maldives having peace and stability. He said that it is not something that Nasheed wants.
He reiterated that the government will not give this opportunity to Nasheed to plunge the nation into unrest and chaos.
