President of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has called the courts to expedite the prosecution of those involved in the murder of Dr. Afrasheem Ali.
Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom made this remark in a tweet he posted in his official twitter account.
He called the authorities to punish all the people involved in the brutal murder of former Ungoofaru member of the Peoples’ Majlis.
Meanwhile, H. Lobby, Hussein Humam Ahmed was sentenced to death by the Criminal Court for the murder of the Dr. Afrasheem.
Humam has now appealed the case at the High Court while the next suspected arrested, H. Hicost Ali Shan was acquitted last month.
