Ramadan Talk with Medical Doctors forum has been held in Maldives Islamic University.
The forum was organized by the University. Speaking in the opening of the forum, Center for Post Graduate Studies Dean Dr. Ibrahim Zakariyya Moosa said the forum was conducted on request of the medical doctors in the country.
Dr. Zakariyyaa said the forum is one that should have been conducted by the University or religious scholars. He said that medical doctors taking initiative on such a measure showed that there were many who were interested in religious tenets. He added that this was a gladdening development.
In the forum, doctors had clarified on the issues faced by patients during Ramadan and the religious commands for patients fasting. Dr. Abdul Aziz Yoosuf, Dr. Abdullah Afeef, Dr. Niyaz, Dr. Aseel and many other doctors took part in the forum.
The University extended invitation to doctors to participate the international religious scholar’s forum.
The forum is spearheaded by University Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and will be held on various subjects.
