Muhthaz sentenced for 17 years for faked arrest warrant
Former PG Muhthaz Muhsin has been sentenced to serve 17 years for having faked a court warrant for the arrest of the President.

In addition to Muhthaz, ADh Maamigilee Senior Magistrate Ahmed Nihan had also been charged in the same issue. The case was to be heard this evening as well, but was cancelled.

The charges filed against Muhthaz read that he had attempted to detain the President, by obtaining a court order from Maamigilee Court. The charges said Muhthaz had travelled to Maamigilee to obtain that court order.

Three charges, including terror charges were filed against Muhthaz. Nihan had been charged with four charges, including terror charges.
