Islamic Ministry will hold a Special “maahefun” at Jumhooree Maidhaan from 4pm to 6 pm today. Medam Fathmath Ibrahim will be the Guest of Honour at the festival.
According to the Ministry the aim is to establish good relationship among the people. “We want everyone to join the meal, and establish good relationship among everyone.”
“Maahefun” is a traditional special meal prior to Ramazaan, where people meet and exchange friendship and a ceremony to pray Allah for Blessings in Ramazaan in its best for everyone.
Since its open for everyone who wants to join it, Islamic Ministry will not be sending special invitations.
