25000 rufiyaa prize for island most prepared for Ramdan

Islamic Ministry has passed to gift MVR 25000 as an award for the island from each atoll best prepared for Ramdan.

Islamic Ministry’s Deputy Minister Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim said the Ministry will look into the status of the mosques, islands, religious activities for the month and other such aspects. He said the details were being finalized and will share with the Councils once fully completed.

Musthafa said this was being carried out to recognize the work carried out by the islands in preparation for Ramadan. He added that the Ministry hoped to hold sermons in islands before the end of the month.

Islamic Ministry has been working to make the month a special one.
