Jumhooree Party has condemned the politically motivated attacks against media.
In a press release issued by the Jumhooree Party, the party appealed the authorities to take action against the perpetrators of these crimes against the media. The party stated that such people are trying to create unrest in the society.
The Jumhooree Party noted that if the laws are enforced and implemented as they should be then than many of the crimes that are committed in the society today will be curbed and restrained.
The party also reiterated to bring those behind these attacks to justice and give them the most harsh punishments in accordance to law.
Meanwhile, Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim and other politicians were recently given death threats by unknown people and the case has been submitted to Maldives Police Service.
