Defense Ministry has ordered media houses to take permits if they wish to telecast live from areas deemed as green zones by the Ministry.
A letter sent to heads of TV channels said the media houses needed to take permits to telecast live from the green zones from the Ministry.
Many tv channels had confirmed that they had received the letter signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.
The move comes amid public duas in front of the Islamic Centre made after each Friday prayers. The Police had on many occasions halted these gatherings.
