Tourism Ministry has opened up for potential investors to develop Guraidhoo and Kashidhoo as resorts.
A notice released by the Ministry said that interested parties can submit their Expression of Interest (EIO) in 10 days and to submit full applications before 1330 hrs on June 2.
The opportunity is opened to both local and international parties. The wining party has to develop the resort before June 2018.
President Yameen had announced this project in his trip to the region’s Maavah island, adding that this was done so on the request of the public and will open for parties to develop two islands nearby as resorts.
He also said the winning party will have to pay the bid amount up front.
