Dhiraagu has taken part in the Pilgrimage Scheme for government employees which allows them to attend Hajj and Umrah.
Dhiraagu CEO and MD Ismail Rasheed, Director Human Resources Ahmed Mohamed Didi, Hajj Corporation Managing Director Yameen Idhris and the Corporation’s Head of Marketing and PR Hassan Sinan signed the agreement.
Speaking in the ceremony, Ismail Rasheed said Dhiraagu took part in the scheme to give better opportunities for Dhiraagu employees to attend Hajj and Umrah. Ahmed Mohamed Didi said the Hajj Corporation initiative will provide additional assistance to their employees, adding that this was a gladdening initiative.
Hajj Corporation MD Yameen Idhris said the any amount can be deposited by the employee, but all had to deposit MVR 500 as the initial deposit. A savings account will be opened for every employee in Islamic Bank.
Dhiraagu is currently sending two employees annually on the pilgrimage. The company has over 600 employees.
